My story

My name is Angie Vickery. I have taught aerobics, aquafitness, boxercise, yoga-style classes and many other systems, both in America and England. Yet despite my very high fitness level I found that I was encountering problems due to unbalanced muscle development and incorrect posture.

After a neck injury, a physiotherapist suggested I try some simple Pilates exercises. Within a few days, those exercises changed my life - and I began to understand the power of Pilates. I resolved to become qualified so that I could teach others. I trained at and received my qualification from London's Pilates Institute with Michael King, third generation from Joseph Pilates himself and an internationally-respected teacher.

I have taught Pilates for six years now, four of them in a chiropractor's office rehabilitating all sorts of back injury. I am skilled at working with people of all ages who have back, neck and other skeletal problems; highly fit athletes who need to develop more core strength and balance to improve their game; and anyone who wants a fit and trim body.

I recognise that each person's situation is unique and adapt the exercises accordingly. I am passionate about improving the quality of life for everyone who exercises with me.
